The U-shaped glacial valley of Madriu-Perafita-Claror (Andorra la Vella, Encamp, Escaldes-Engordany and Sant Julià de Lòria) is a Unesco world heritage site covering 10,495 acres and reaching heights of 8202 ft It is a very well preserved succession of extremely beautiful landscapes punctuated by dry-stone walls and terraces, with the river meandering through the mosaic of fields.
