Houses in Andorra These houses were built using slate and stone. Vladimira Dvorakova / age fotostock;
The traditional stone and slate houses of Andorra are part of the Principality's charm, and some are open for curious visitors to look around. The 'Itinéraire de l'Habitat Rural' (Rural Habitat Route) takes in several of them, including Casa Cristo built in 1885 in Encamp, Casa Rull in Sisponu and Casa d'Areny-Plandolit, which dates back to the 17th Century. They can be visited free of charge on the first Sunday of every month.
