Andorra has six winter sports resorts: five resorts for Alpine skiing and a resort for cross-country skiing. Arinsal, Ordino, Pal, Pas de la Casa, Soldeu-el Tarter, la Rabassa provide a total of 167 miles of slope for Alpine skiers (and 9 miles for cross-country skiers). The resorts are situated at an altitude of on average 6,562 ft and are equipped with modern equipment, including numerous snow cannons.
