There are several beaches on the Atlantic. Luanda was constructed around a bay (the Ilhia Beach, 5 minutes from the town centre, allows for swimming). For water sports, go to the Mussolo peninsula. 28 miles south of Luanda is the very enjoyable Palmeirinhas Beach, a little isolated.
