An ideal climate. Average temperatures vary during the day from 23°C in the winter to 30°C in the summer. Temperatures are an average of 23°C at night in the summer, and having something warm to put on is not a bad idea for the windy winter evenings. The sun rises at around 5.30am and sets at around 6.15pm all year-round. Cyclones regularly assail the island during the rainy season, from September to November.
