Argentina is in the southern Hemisphere and therefore begins its winter when we begin our summer. The climatic variations from one region to another are also considerable. In Buenos Aires, on the coast, temperatures reach 30/35°C in January, and come close to 51°C in July. As for the north-western Andes, it is very sunny there as it is a tropical area, however, the nights are cold all year round and sometimes icy. In the Pampas, the average temperatures in the winter are around 11°C and in the summer around 24°C. Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego are inhospitable southern regions; it is therefore better to visit them in the summer when temperatures do not exceed 11°C, as in the winter, they remain below 0°C and it is often windy and rainy.
