The carpets

The carpets

The weaving of carpets is one of the oldest Azerbaijani traditions. The weavers have transmitted their art down through the centuries from generation to generation. The colours and designs, dating from the original production of the carpets, are highly respected. Some very old carpets are exhibited in museums such as the Louvre in Paris, the New York Metropolitan, or the Hermitage in St Petersburg.
