The finesse of the weaving and embroidery has been famous for centuries. Flowers, animals and complicated geometric designs decorate the jamdanis (silk embroidered on a loom). This embroidery, previously for the imperial residence, is still created today. Embroidered patchwork, telling the story of the villages, is also particularly appreciated.
