Caulker Cay is one hour from Belize City by boat. The island is 4.5 miles long and doesn't have great beaches, however, its sea beds are superb for snorkelling and diving. The coral gardens harbour a multitude of multicoloured fish and very beautiful flora. The excellent visibility allows deep-water diving (to 197 feet). There is a real labyrinth of underwater grottoes off the western coast. Their exploration should not be taken lightly: you must be an experienced diver and go with a guide.
