Luxuriant vegetation © Philip Plisson/Hoa Qui
The top of the Gibb's Hill Lighthouse, in the commune of Southampton, is without doubt the best site for observing the island's countryside. From there, you will see uncultivated land without lakes or rivers that culminates at 249 feet on the top of Town Hill. Scenery that is not very varied and is defined by a luxuriant tropical vegetation where bougainvilleas and hibiscus grow almost everywhere.
