Older than Hamilton, St-Georges is also a more charming town. The first capital of Bermuda gives the impression of a small village, with its narrow streets and old houses that have been recently restored and transformed into museums. You can visit the Old State House here, the oldest building in the archipelago built in 1620. Tucker House (18th century) has also been well preserved, and allows you to admire period furniture. St-Peter Church is considered as one of the oldest places in the world for the Anglican religion. Finally, if you are interested in the history of the archipelago, go and visit the National Trust Museum, which retraces its role during the American civil war.
