To the south towards Chile, in the province of Sud Lipez, the Uyuni Salt Pan is an immense desert of salt. The region is one of the most remarkable in the country and has some twenty sites that you must not miss: rows of volcanoes, valleys of lava, astonishingly blue or green lagoons, and expanses of desert from which geysers emerge here and there (sol de Manana). This is a real gold mine for walkers, who will find trekking agencies at Uyuni.
