 Climate and Seasons

The climate is semi-continental, with hot summers and cold winters (in Sarajevo: 1°C in January, and 21°C in July). At high altitude, the climate becomes Alpine, while on its Adriatic front it is Mediterranean, with warm summers and rainy winters. The best time to visit the country is during spring, in April and May, to make the most of the richness of the fauna and flora.
