Cooking Botswana

Food in Botswana is frankly nothing out of the ordinary. The traditional food varies in accordance with the regions and the tribes; however, you could say that mabele and bogobe, types of millet and sorghum porridge, are the main component of Botswanian gastronomy. The visitor will find a relatively varied, but unoriginal, international cuisine in Gaborone. The only surprise is in the extraordinary variety of produce in the markets, due to the considerable trade with South Africa.
