Botswana is home to about 164 different species of mammals such as the baboon, hippopotamus, zebra, hyena and giraffe, and how wonderful to witness them in their natural habitat! Other creatures, that we perhaps speak of less, like the grivet, wild dog, gemsbok, bat-eared fox, harnessed bushbuck, waterbuck, wart hog, impala, blue gnu and the eland also make the savannah their home. There are 22 different types of antelope alone!
