A sub-tropical climate; temperatures are always very high and range from 22 to 28 °C in winter, and from 26 to 31 °C in July. Trade winds have the beneficial effect of lowering the heat and humidity rate. Rain is less present than on certain other islands in the Antilles. During the months where it rains the most, from September to November, the average rainfall never exceeds five days of rain per month, however, the archipelago is subject to hurricanes and tropical storms, from July to October.
