There are some ATM machines to be found near banks, and your best options for withdrawing and exchanging money are centred in Road Town on Tortola. Banks are open from Monday to Thursday, from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and on Fridays until 5:00pm.

Local transportation
To get around the islands, the best solution is to rent a car, because there are only taxis on Tortola Island, and the bus service is poorly organised. To rent a car, you must hold a British Virgin Islands temporary driving license issued at a car rental agency, and a national driving license. Remember, people here drive on the left. To go from one island to the other, it is possible to rent boats, take ferries or taxi-boats. BVI national airline company also links the Tortola, Virgin Gorda and Anegada Islands.

No particular vaccination is required. For medical reimbursement, you need to have personal medical insurance.
