The Thracian tomb of Kazanlak

The Thracian tomb of Kazanlak dates from the end of the 4th century BC. Discovered in 1944, is has been classified as world heritage by UNESCO since 1979. It is famous for its wall paintings, which are amongst the best preserved from the Hellenistic period in Bulgaria. The tomb is also a masterpiece of Thracian architecture.
