In Burkina, there are two big seasons: the dry season, which lasts for around eight months, and the rainy season, which lasts from mid-June to mid-October. The hottest months are April and May. The most pleasant period for travelling is between November and March; this is the coolest and driest period. In Burkina-Faso, the extreme temperatures are 12°C in January, and 35°C in April, and can vary slightly from one region to the other.
