In the south-west, the region of the Laurentides is attractive for its varied landscapes with lakes, mountains, forests, and the possibility of the sports activities offered. The Laurentides have the highest concentration of winter sports stations in North America, and skiing becomes dominant in winter. In the summer, they offer magnificent panoramas suitable for hiking and canoeing.
