In British Columbia, you will have the pleasure of admiring killer whales around the Vancouver island, near the banks of the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve, or grey whales, off the western coast, near Tofino and Ucluelet. The Ladner Reifel Sanctuary has more than 240 species of birds, and the Creston Valley Wildlife Centre Rockies is a marsh, famous for its birds and other wild animals. In January, Squamish is the place for making a count of bald-headed eagles, the largest gathering of the species in North America. The Stein Valley Nlaka'pamux Heritage, which has 14 ecologically different areas, shelters bears, cougars, roe deers and wolves. To admire grizzlies, you have to get on a boat at Prince Rupert to go to the area of Khutzeymateen.
