Various Cape Verdean artists show their work abroad which has helped to put their islands on the map. However, Cape Verde does not have many museums, so the artists exhibit their work in the restaurants or cafés. It is also possible to see their work in craft centres such as in Mindelo on the island of Sao Vicente or Praia, on Santiago. On Sao Vicente, you can speak with the artists as their workshops are open. You can also find them at the Lisboa café in Mindelo. Various exhibitions are organised in Mindelo's French cultural centre. Again on the island of Sao Vicente, the Figueira brothers (Tchalé and Manuel) have their workshop there, which is open to the public.
