The advantages of renting a car in Barcelona with Easyvoyage.co.uk

Barcelona Enjoy the best rates on the net thanks to the exclusive price comparator Easyvoyage.co.uk, and make precious savings!
Barcelona, Spain's second city, possesses an indescribable charm. Take time to discover, on foot or by car, the town's main artery, la Ramba, which leads either to the port or the Plaza de Catulanya, with its merchants and highly coloured, noisy inhabitants. At the Plaça de Glories car park, 5€50 gets you a parking spot plus a daily travel card for the underground and buses (not available on Sundays).

Explore town by car

Art lovers, make a call at the Picasso and Miro museums to admire the work and lives of these two often misunderstood masters. Elsewhere, look up and be wowed by the wacky architecture of Gaudi. Stroll around the Barrio and Viejo areas where you will find most of the city's museums. You can also satisfy at once your desire for beaches and shopping; once you have your hire car, head off to Paeso de Garcia with its boutiques and shopping centres. Then finally, cruise at your own pace to the surroundings of Barcelona where you can enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava and Costa Dorada, the medieval town of Girona, the wine producing region of Penedes or even the Dali museum in Figueres. Hiring a car is a great way to visit Barcelona and its surroundings at your own pace. Although the city is well served by its underground, there are some unmissable places that cannot be reached this way. You can rent a car as soon as you arrive in Barcelona at some very attractive rates and discover the city's human and historic richness through its gothic architecture and iridescent colours.

Good to know before driving

Driving in the centre of Barcelona is no real hassle once you familiarise you with the main roads: Avinguda Diagonal, Avinguda Meridiana and Grand Via de los Corts Catalanes. All the same, watch out for the many one-way streets which can be disconcerting. If you happen to enter the city centre by car during the day, then take advantage of the very reasonable parking charges.
