The Grand Cayman's Cayman Turtle Farm is the only one of its kind in the world. The farm is a controversial tourist attraction, as the government supports the repopulation of turtles in the Cayman waters, while continuing to supply local restaurants. The reserve houses several hundreds of thousands of this unique species, which is close to extinction elsewhere in the world.
