Departing from Bangui, an excursion allows you to discover the region of the High-Sanga. You have to go to Bouar (280 miles from the capital) to see the numerous sites of raised stones in the surrounding areas. These circles of menhirs, 6 to 10 feet high, indicate old burial places (they were raised duirng the 1st millennium BC).
