Hanga Roa is the island's only city. It has a nice seafront and the wide streets slowly rise up the hill. A Roman Catholic church is located at the top of the hill, with plain architecture on the outside, it is decorated inside with beautiful wooden statues. In Hanga Roa, you must also visit Tahai's ceremonial area where seven statues stand on the seafront, the only archaeological remains that have been kept in the city.
