Pointe-Noire, the main town by the ocean, is located in the bay of the same name. This is the country's maritime port. The town is connected to Brazzaville by the Congo-Ocean railway line, which has intense commercial activity. Pointe-Noire has the Victor-Augagneur secondary school, the Georges-Brousseau Museum, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and a zoo.
