securite

Security

The situation in Brazzaville has been tense and likely to degenerate since 2006.. In this regard, travellers are advised to be extremely careful and to contact the British Honorary Consulate in Kinshasa on arrival for registration.
Although the situation appears to be stable over most of the country, the main danger today is a rebellion in the region of Pool, an administrative entity including the capital. You are therefore advised not to go there for the time being. If you have to move around the country, it is better not to leave alone, but in a convoy of several vehicles, and to notify the British Honorary Consulate of your trip.
