Climate Costa Rica

Costa Rica has two seasons, the dry season from December to April, and the rainy season, from May to November. The rainy season (or green season) has no torrential rain, but rather daily showers towards the end of the afternoon. As long as you don't go there in September and October, rain will not ruin your holiday, especially if you love green landscape. You mustn't forget that 52 micro-climates exist and that temperatures do not vary by very much all year round: they range between 18C° and 25C° in San José and the central valley, and between 25C° and 32C° on the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. The country can be visited in both the summer and the winter and the high temperatures of the dry season seem ideal for a break, but be aware that this time of year is also the American and Canadian high tourist season.
