With its sea, mountains, small villages and nature parks, Croatia is not a country lacking in charm. For a few years now it has been a trendy destination and attracts two types of clientele: on the one hand you have tourists seduced by the patrimonial and architectural culture found in its towns and on the other hand you have the beach lovers and nature lovers who gather on the coast and on the islands scattered around the Adriatic. In terms of hotels, there is something for everyone; small establishments of charm within towns and on certain islands as well as imposing numbers, offering activities and entertainment, along the coast. Although suffering from a bad reputation for some time, the Croatian hotel industry has bounced back with numerous renovations. In 2008, pretty much all their hotels had been entirely made over and prices went up. Now you have a completely new offering of a large number of hotels hoping to make the Adriatic coast a destination 'à la mode' or even a one which pulls in the 'jet-set' crew.
