Made with a simple needle, Pag lace is characterised by its geometric forms (triangles, circles etc...) and a great rigidity. Long hours are necessary to make them, which explains their high price. Essential ornament for the traditional head-dress of married women from Pag, this lace was much appreciated by the Emperor of Austria. That is why two lace workers from the island worked permenantly at the court.
