The coldest season is from December to February included. The temperature is, on average, 22°C in Havana. June to September is the warmest season, with temperatures as high as 33°C in Havana and 36°C in Santiago during August. There is always 3 to 4 degrees difference in temperature between the North (Havana) and the South (Santiago). The seasons in between correspond to autumn and spring: there is a risk of cyclones in October and November, and of strong rains in April and May. The months of June and September are the most pleasant periods.
