Over 12 miles of fine golden sand lining a turquoise ocean can be found 93 miles away from Varadero,Cuba. Completely dedicated to tourism, especially since the international airport was built only 19 miles away, the peninsula is a little crowded with hotels, but every cloud has a silver lining, and the peninsula's silver lining is its palm-fringed beach. Flooded by sunshine, the area attracts many Canadian tourists, as well as Europeans and South Americans. This is the most famous beach resort of Cuba as well as being one of the most touristic places of the island. A holiday here can be very diverse ? whether you prefer an activity-packed week (or two, or more) or idleness by the ocean, a party atmosphere is guaranteed. Cuba is mythical with its fusion of Europe and the Caribbean, which renders it a timeless place with its old ambassador cars, houses with columns and villas dating back to the thirties. However Cuba is not a city that reveals all at first glance. It is at night, along the Malecon beach, that the city comes out from behind closed doors in the form of its citizens that will happily let you into the secret life of Cuba...
