Amongst all the religious buildings in the Troodos Mountains, visit the churches of Asiniou (12th century), Panayia Tou Arakou (13th century) and Ayios Nikolaos as a priority. Asiniou has the most complete cycle of Byzantine murals visible in Cyprus. In Arakou, the frescoes are astonishingly well preserved.
