Nicosia and Paphos are the two main towns in the Republic of Cyprus. The Cypriot government does not allow tourists to spend more than a day (from 9:00am to 5:00pm) in the occupied part of the island. This is not really enough time to explore the northern zone, but it is just about sufficient to go and visit Kyrenia and Famagusta.
