We have tested: 12 Hotels Cyprus

Hotels on Cyprus' south coast, both inland and by the sea, are comfortable and well-equipped. Staff are warm and welcoming, and the hotels tend to be very clean. You're unlikely to be the only Brits discovering this part of the world? Aphrodite's island is a top tourist destination amongst the British (Cyprus is a member of the Commonwealth and home to several British military bases), the Swiss and Northern Europeans. Cyprus boasts an astonishing 340 days of sunshine per year, so most hotels stay open all year round.
A diverse variation of hotels serves a multitude of different holidays. Families, couples seeking a romantic getaway, history buffs and hikers will all find something to their liking.
Let yourself be seduced by the beautiful turquoise waters of Ayia Napa, which is home to some of the country's most beautiful beaches. A top tourist beach resort, most of Ayia Napa's hotels are only open during the summer season. Larnaca Airport receives most UK flights, and the city itself is a good base from which to visit the island, although not ideal for seaside holidays. Limassol and Amathus show a different face of the island, but amongst the concrete jungle you'll find a selection of reputable hotels. With its picturesque fishing port, archeological sites and sweet little houses, the former capital, Pathos, is the island's most charming area.
Clustered around the touristy areas, Cyprus' hotels offer an impressive range of services. Choose from luxurious, modest, quiet, lively, romantic or family-based hotels. Most companies offering watersports are independent of the hotels, and can be found on public beaches. In hotels, the kettle, coffee and tea kit is standard, reminding us that we're not so far from home after all!
