Taking a walk on the island of Fionie The soft green under the blue sky of the island of Fionie justifies its nickname of 'The Garden of Denmark'. Vladimira Dvorakova / age fotostock;
A big central island of which Odense is the capital, Fyn is the country's garden. The local population and the tourists meet here in a luxurious bright green countryside and valleys abundant with blossom. Between beaches and manors, villages that are stuck in time and water mills, it is also called the island of castles as it is home to the largest concentration of castles in the world. South of Fyn is an archipelago made of the Islands of Tasinge, Langeland and Ero, where castles and charming small villages made of old stones and untouched paved roads can be found.
