The beach of the Jutland Peninsula In Jutland, the beach, the sea and the sky produce fantastic shades of blue. © Danish Tourist Board
The Jutland region is the central part of Denmark. To the north, wind mills and sea front sceneries with 10 miles of beaches between Blokhus and Lokken and two famous seaside resorts. The northernmost town of the peninsula, Skagen, is where you will find the moving dunes that slide to the east by 26 to 32 feet every year. The sea here is turbulent and various lighthouses guard it. The inherent poetry of these landscapes, which never ceases to amaze, has inspired Danish painters that finally created a school of painting. A short stop in the fishing village of Saeby allows you to discover a traditional village and its church as well as a Baroque Manor and its beautiful estate.
