The city shelters various royal castles. Christianborg is nowadays the Parliament, and Rosenborg is the Crown's Museum with all of its royal treasures. Amalienborg is itself reserved to celebrations and receptions of important foreign visitors as it is home to the official Queen's palace. Located inside the elegant Prince's palace, the National Museum, the biggest in Scandinavia, displays fabulous collections dating back to the Vikings, and also contemporary artists. As for the Round Tower, it is considered the oldest European observatory in activity. Adults and children meet, day and night, under the lanterns of the astonishing decor of Tivoli, the largest theme park in the country. In northern Sjælland, the Castle of Frederiksborg is the local Windsor castle. The castle of Fredensborg is now the private home of the royal family, and it is in the Kronborg Castle, at Helsingor, that Shakespeare's tragic play Hamlet took place.
