The Gulf of Tadjoura

The Gulf of Tadjoura The Gulf of Tadjoura © Lonely Planet

In the Gulf of Tadjoura, half way between Obock and the capital, are two practically virgin islands, Moucha and Maskali, that are also fabulous sites. The Sheraton hotel has installed its yacht club on Moucha, that is also home to an underwater reserve where fishing is forbidden. The coral reefs are home to clownfish, dolphins, makairas, tunas, barracudas, flathead mullets, groupers and eels, as well as various types of sharks.
