The island has surprising mountainous relief. Abrupt mountains alternate with deep valleys which progressively sink into the sea, like a green lava flow swallowed by the ocean. On top of Morne Diablotin, the highest point on the island (at 4,747 ft), you could easily believe that you were lost on a deserted island, surrounded by primal vegetation.
