Climate and Seasons
The climate is tropical. During the dry season, from November to April, the average temperatures reach 25°C. From November to December, rainfall is frequent towards the end of the day. During rain season, from May to October, heavy but brief rainfall is regular. The Hurricane season actually stretches from July to September. In August, the temperatures reach a maximum of 30°C. There can be great temperature variations in the mountains, where the nights are cooler. It is very humid all year long, especially on the eastern part of the island, ranging from 65 to 80%. The sea is usually 27°C in the winter and 30°C in the summer.
