The Dominican Republic is a world-renowned golf destination with over 30 golf courses spread out around the island and open all year round. Some were designed by prestigious architects - Casa de Campo's three golf courses in La Romana were designed by Pete Dye, the Punta Espada Golf Course in Cap Cana was designed by Jack Nicklaus, Playa Grande golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and Roco Ki Golf Club, in the region of Macao, was designed by Nick Faldo.
