Pantemakassar

Pantemakassar, sheltered in the enclave of Oecussi in the region of West Timor, was the first permanent Portuguese settlement. The city of eight thousand people is located at the midpoint between the mountain and the sea and it has a number of beautiful beaches. You can swim in Lifau, 3 miles away, or in Pantai Mahata - easier to reach - just over a mile eastwards.
