Travel is my driving force in life, and although I have had the privilege of visiting 30 countries so far, my heart will always remain in India...
There are two seasons in Ethiopia: a rainy season, from June to September, and a dry season, from October to May. The country's physical geography explains its 4 distinct climatic zones:
the high plateaux (between 1,400 and 15,150m high) with average temperatures varying between 22°C in the regions below 2,400m of altitude and 5°C up in the mountains (above 3,800m); the savannah regions, average temperatures are around 25°C with little rainfall; a tropical zone, with high rainfall and an average temperature of 15°C; and finally, the desert regions (from 130m to 800m high) around the Ethiopian plateau, a semi-dry to dry climate with extreme temperatures that can reach 49°C in the Danakil desert.
