In the north, the Simen Mountain National Park is the territory of baboons, ibexes and foxes. Bale Mountains National Park, south of the first, is composed of heaths and forests, the home of baboons, guibs, nyalas, jackals, servals, leopards, red foxes, warthogs, and many bird species such as ibises, crane birds, red-billed choughs, bearded vultures... The Savannahs and a few forests of Awash National Park are the kingdom of gazelles, ostriches, kudus, oryxes (a sort of antelope), baboons, lions and a large variety of birds, among which you can find eagles, falcons, vultures, pink flamingos, and wasp nests. Omo, Mago and the Gambela National Parks in the south-west of the country are the territory of giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, buffaloes, cheetahs, elephants, antelopes and many birds such as herons, pelicans, egrets, and belted kingfishers.
