Like for the last four years, the label InFiné invites you to a range of original and magic eclectic musical events from 21 until 25 August. Located 20 kilometres from Poitiers in the heart of the countryside, the event unfolds in the natural and surprising setting of an ancient stone quarry. The festival "Les Soirs d'été" allows you to attend unpublished encounters between artists coming from different musical background. Even if some are already known, other will take their first steps onto the scene to present their musical creation to the public. The InFiné workshop is an explosive laboratory where ideas and melodies mix, creating a shocking and original cocktail. These meetings have already given way to several studio recordings, such as that of Arandel in 2010, Pedro Soler and Gaspar Claus and Composer in 2011.
Two of these grounds will appear once again this year (Arandel and Pedro and Gaspar Claus) as well as a dozen artists from all over the world coming from a musical spectrum that ranges from classical and jazz to rock and hip-hop. The 2012 edition has some novelties in store: an opening concert with all of the artists and a discovery workshop for children, during which they will have the chance to play instruments.
On the last night it is free entry for a night at Météo, the restaurant at the Théâtre Auditorium de Poitiers which is associated with the workshop this year as a new space for artistic diffusion. During the festival, you will have the chance to stay at the Normandoux manor house. Located 150 metres from the quarry, today it is open to the public. There you will find guest houses, a restaurant and even a spa.
