The great advantage of all these hotels lining Naama Bay's main street is that they are a mere 20-minute drive from the airport. Transfers are not organized by the hotel but you won't have any trouble finding a taxi. The town centre is about 10 minutes away on foot - a lovely walk along the seashore, on Naama Bay and alongside its hotels, with the old market at the end.
Opened in 1997, the hotel is run by an Arabic family who offer an all-inclusive option to their guests, which includes all main meals and national liquors.
The hotel looks out to Naama Bay but the guestrooms are situated at the back of the complex, so we recommend you go for a room nearest to the reception.
5.75/10
The hotel is a little outmoded and it could do with some renovation, especially in terms of the building itself and the bathrooms. The Al Bostan hotel is family-run. The reception is quite dark and simply furnished with leather sofas. Inside the hotel, around the pool, the rooms are located in blocks of two of three storeys, making the available space look narrower than it actually is.
You will find the massage parlour on the lower level, leading up to Naama Bay's promenade, it is the only service which requires an extra charge because the all-inclusive option includes the sauna and jacuzzi as well.
As is often the case in Arabic hotels, no entertainment is organized by the management, but the management of the Al Bostan does organize a barbecue night every weekend.

Two rooms are available to disabled guests, with an access ramp, handles and an emergency call device. The Al Bostan hotel boasts a total of 133 rooms in three categories: Deluxe, Standard and Junior suites.
The standard rooms are reasonably-sized, with no particular attention given to detail but they are clean. Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with a television offering international channels and a safe free of charge. However, there is no room service.
An interesting note: the handles in the bathtub and the tablet on the table indicate the direction of Mecca ("quibla").
5/10
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served in the only restaurant of the hotel, which is spacious enough but a little dimly lit. The atmosphere is quite austere and the dishes on the buffet not varied enough. Some music and renovation work of the interior would refresh the hotel's image. The family are really very welcoming but somewhat lacking in vivacity.
In the summertime however, they do opened a restaurant on the beach.
5.5/10
Along the shore of Naama Bay, the private beach of the Al Bostan hotel is well equipped and close to everything a holiday-maker may need. Just behind it, Naama Bay promenade links all coastal hotels to the town centre dedicated to tourism and to the old market, lively at night time thanks to the bars and dance shows.
If you have children, you will be pleased to know that swimming isn't dangerous at this beach as there aren't any corals near the coast and the slope into the sea is gentle; but nevertheless, a line of buoys marks the limit to a deeper zone.
The hotel works with external agencies to organise excursions and diving sessions. The beach closes at 5:30pm.
