Lovers of the sea, this hotel is made for you. Everything reminds you of the sea, from the vast lobby shaped like a boat to the tiniest decorative element. Open all year around, the Alkantara is frequented mainly by francophone customers. The thalassatherapy centre offers different types of cures: slimness, light legs, anti-stress, relaxation and well-being.

7/10

At the entrance of the lobby, the tone is set. The impression that you are entering a boat is real. The architectural style is elegant, bright and neat. No decorative element escapes the "marine" touch: columns surrounded by thick ropes, wall lamps in the shape of boats, blue and white everywhere. In front of the main building, an imposing 21,520 ft² swimming pool has been installed. Finally, the beach unfolds along the vast tiled sunroom terrace.

7/10

The 310 rooms and the 6 suites of the Alkantara are housed on two floors in the main building that has four elevators. Spacious, the standard rooms measure 387 ft². They offer all the necessary comforts: individual air conditioning, satellite television, electronic safe (with fee), minibar. There is a 24 h room-service with a good menu. No surprise, you can discover a very "nautical" decor again. The headboard looks like a helm, the paintings remind you of the ocean, and the fabrics have pretty printed shells. Clean and nice, the bathrooms are entirely tiled, and blue and white tones prevail. From the vast balconies or terraces, you will have a view of the sea from the majority of the rooms, and a view of the gardens from the others.

6.5/10

You have many choices. The main restaurant called "La Vague" (the wave) serves buffet style and the food is local and international cuisine of good quality. The dishes are well-presented and diverse. The buffet changes every evening and has a theme that is always different (Italian, fisherman, Tunisian). The à la carte restaurant, "La Méditerranée", serves fish and other sea products. The snack-bar, near the swimming pool, allows you to get food but not pay too much.

6.25/10

Cleaned daily, the beach of Alkantara stretches over 655 feet. The sand, finely grained, is peppered with lounge chairs and parasols, available at no charge. The environment of the hotel is regrettable. Because it is located close to a port zone, the water is a bit murky and the landscape could be better. You can enjoy the equipment for water activities for free available to you through the hotel (surfboard, canoe, and pedalo). The Alkantara does not have a nautical club. But the hotel is able to organise, upon request, a majority of water sports that customers request.
