The hotel offers, from time to time, thematic Creole evenings to entertain clients with performances by folk groups.
The customers of the Coralia Blue Beach also have access to the sports facilities of the Novotel Saint-Gilles.
6.75/10
The Coralia Blue Beach's buildings with their pointed wood-shingled roofs date back to 1990 but they were renovated in 2001 and again in 2006. Decorated in tones of orange and yellow, the reception sets the tone for the entire decoration of the hotel. The colour of the walls and cushions in the wrought iron lounges are cheerful and bright, they give the illusion of more space. After passing the reception, you will reach the swimming pool. Semi-circular, it is more for cooling off than for swimming lengths. The children, however, will be extremely happy, because two adjacent wading pools are provided for them. Located around the swimming pool, there is a paved sun lounge decorated with potted palms as well as deckchairs, towels and sunshades. Its too bad the property is too limited to house gardens.

There are 56 units in the Coralia Blue Beach, 11 are junior suites with a kitchenette and 11 are furnished as duplex rooms. As for the view, half overlook the swimming pool and the other half overlook the mountains to the rear. Ask for the latter if you want to enjoy a quiet stay. The decoration includes pastel blue and yellow fabrics and furniture of ceruse wood - the standard rooms are relatively small but well designed. They extend onto a balcony where there are two plastic chairs. There are no paintings on the rendered walls, only large mirrors. Amenities include air conditioning, a safe, a mini bar, direct dial telephone for international calls and satellite television. The bathrooms have a pretty glass sink framed in wood, a shower in the rooms overlooking the swimming pool and a bathtub for those located at the rear. A hair dryer can be borrowed at the reception.
5.75/10
Located under a dome overlooking the swimming pool, the Coralia Blue Beach's restaurant combines shades of ocean blue with blue armchairs and intense blue tables and navy blue balustrades. In this holiday setting, the atmosphere is relaxed, perfect for trying the dish of the day. Breakfast is offered open buffet style (scrambled eggs and sausages, cereals, pastries and buns). For lunch and dinner, the menu offers salads, pasta dishes or a curry served with rice and beans (lentils or beans) in the very traditional manner of La Réunion.

Located at the rear of the Novotel Saint-Gilles, the Coralia Blue Beach uses the same beach as the latter. To get there, walk along the road that separates the two hotels, then cross the park of the Novotel. The beach, the Hermitage, streches for several miles between Saint-Gilles and La Saline. It offers a pleasant setting for relaxation. Lined with filao and tamarind trees, the stretch of white sand descends gently into the lagoon: the bathing area is shallow and there are many fishes and corals (explore the submarine world with fins, mask and snorkel). When swimming, pay attention to the coral debris that can hurt your feet. If possible, it is better not to wear sandals because they cause damage to the fragile ecosystem of the lagoon. As the beach is public, shunshades and deckchairs are not provided. Don't forget to bring towels and snorkeling equipment with you in order to take advantage of the setting. On the other side, there are some picnic areas extremely popular with local residents of La Réunion where they spend weekends with their families.
